Client Engagement Officer

GCS Connect is a new service offered by GCS Recruitment that focuses on delivering networking events for tech professionals. Each event will be based on topics that are relevant to today's current market.

In an ever-evolving industry, not only is it important to have a space for continuous learning but we find it is equally important to stay connected to one another - especially in a time where it is often difficult to take things 'offline'. So after listening to a number of our candidates and clients, we want to provide an avenue where experts can come together, share their knowledge and successes, and forge their own connections.

We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven individual to build this new strategy from scratch. The successful candidate will be an expert multitasker and have a passion for business development, networking, and communications. This is an exciting opportunity to shape an entirely new part of the GCS business model and will serve as an integral part of the business. This role will have a direct impact on introducing new relationships, furthering the company's reputation as experts in our chosen markets, and increase employee engagement and retention. There is ample opportunity for growth within the company, with the potential for this new strategy to be implemented across our 10 locations.

Responsibilities

  • Cold call clients and candidates to inform them about GCS Connect
  • Develop new relationships with successful leaders in the industry
  • Meet new and existing clients to discuss collaborations and draw in partnerships
  • Network with key contacts in the Meetup and tech event space
  • Establish KPIs and targets for each event and consultant
  • Monitor progress and work closely with consultants in brainstorming ideas, meeting clients, and delivering relevant communications across the target market
  • Attend weekly meetings/conference calls with CEO, directors, and managers to provide updates and manage expectations with stakeholders
  • Create a project plan and outline projected timelines for each event
  • Lead biweekly meetings with consultants to discuss further tasks or next actions
  • Act as a brand ambassador for GCS Connect
  • Research different markets and discuss potential topics for each event
  • Evaluate the market to pinpoint target attendees
  • Simultaneously plan logistics and organize multiple events in different countries
  • Liaise with the marketing team to create promotional and branded material
  • Conducting interviews with different clients for online content
  • Establish a strong online presence for the company through social media management and writing online content for the website
  • Draw up weekly reports showing progress and client/candidate engagement
  • Collect feedback from event attendees
  • Send out post-event communications
  • Create attendee report summary for each event
  • Write and send follow-up communications to each attendee
  • Create presentations for consultant meetings with key customers
  • Format speaker presentations to align with GCS brand
  • Ensure event production runs smoothly and delegate tasks as necessary
  • Assist with internal recruitment when necessary (conduct phone and in-person interviews, administration, communications, etc.)

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, writing, journalism, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • At least 6 months of experience at a recruitment agency (within the tech industry preferred)
  • Experience conducting interviews and 3 examples of written work (published work online or in print is a bonus)
  • Fluent/native in English
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Possess excellent research skills in order to learn quickly about various technical topics and discuss event content with different experts
  • Must have experience with managing teams and delegating tasks
  • Have a flexible schedule (some meetings and the majority of events will occur outside of regular working hours)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Willing to travel to different areas in Dublin (possibly abroad as well)

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have prior experience managing multiple social media accounts (Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Be able to draw up clear project plans and write pre- and post-event reports
  • Have previous networking experience
  • Show a history of meeting and exceeding KPIs
  • Enjoy public speaking (to both small and large groups)
  • Have the ability to think with an international mindset and beyond the scope of the local market (We have offices in Europe, the UK, and the US)
  • Be comfortable managing stakeholders and liaising with key contacts in various positions, including at an executive level, on a daily basis
  • Have some photography and videography experience (a definite bonus)
